When it keeps raining the paradise island during the rainy season – which usually happens between October and April –, you might be confused about what to do and where to go to have fun. But no worries, apart from its beautiful beach and temples, you still have various indoor activities in Bali to choose, either for solo traveler, couple and groups, or family with kids.

DMZ Bali 3D Art Museum

DMZ Bali 3D Art Museum is located in the Legian area near Sunset Road. Instead of artifacts, this museum reveals the 3D illusion art consisting of 120 unique artworks in 14 zones, where you can spend some time taking tons of photos as one of the ways to do indoor activities in Bali during the rainy season. In each artwork, they usually have the sign on the floor to show you the best position to take a photo from, to create the best illusion photo.

Escape Room in Bali

The escape room is a puzzle game in which you should escape out of the room with your partner or groups, within a specified time and a few hints given. In Bali, you can do it in some places, like in Totem Room Escape in Seminyak, House of Trap in Jimbaran, Pandora Experience and Xcape Bali in Kuta, SOS From The Deep in Sanur. Check their websites for the rooms and themes available, level of difficulty for each game, age restrictions, and entrance fees. Although walk-in is still possible, it is recommended to call in advance for reservation.

Beachwalk Mall Kuta

If you happen to stay in Kuta or Legian, spending time in Beachwalk Mall Kuta can be an option for indoor activities in Bali. Besides supermarkets, stores, and restaurants, it also has kids stores, playgrounds, and food court on the third floor, so it can be entertaining for the whole family, too. The best thing about this place is, you can jump to the beach immediately after the rain stops.

Upside Down World Bali

If you are going from Kuta to Sanur through By Pass Ngurah Rai street, you will pass Upside Down World Bali, where you can do one of the cool indoor activities in Bali. Try to pose upside down without falling over between the interior hanging over their nine different rooms.  The entrance fee is required for this activity, and a guide is included.

World of Magic Bali

Still, in By Pass Ngurah Rai street, there is another indoor activity in Bali to do during the rainy season. The place is called World of Magic Bali, where you can buy the tickets to see some live magic performance and close-up magics, learn some magic tricks while taking cool pictures. At the end of the attraction, you can also shop in their magic stores. This activity is suitable for kids, too.

The Keranjang Bali

If you are not into photos and games, shopping can be a good choice, too. The Keranjang Bali located in Kuta, has two-floor souvenir stores selling various authentic Balinese and Indonesian souvenirs and a skypark Kampung Langit where you can experience Indonesian cultures and activities (entrance fee is required for Kampung Langit).
